The legal stuff

What are the legal requirements?

You will need to complete and Lodge the Notice of Intention to Marry Form with your Celebrant 1 month prior to your wedding date. https://www.ag.gov.au/FamiliesAndMarriage/Marriage/Documents/New-notice-of-intended-marriage.pdf

You will need to provide original documents confirming proof of date of birth and marital status as follows:

  • Original Birth Certificate or Passport

  • Statutory declaration, if neither of the above is available

  • Decree absolute or death certificate in the case of divorce or widowhood.

  • Drivers Licence or photo ID

Do we still need to apply for a Standard Marriage Certificate?

On the day you will be presented with an official Commemorative Certificate. However, if you intend to change your surname, you will require a Standard Marriage Certificate, which is applied for through Birth’s Deaths & Marriages for a fee of $58. Your Celebrant can apply for this on your behalf.

Do we need to supply witnesses?

You do require 2 witnesses, over the age of 18, but we can arrange for this for you if requested in advance for a small fee.

Your Ceremony

Do you travel outside of Sydney metro?

Absolutely! We are based in the Sutherland Shire however our package travels anywhere, there may just be a small additional travel fee of $55/ hr of travel outside the Sydney Metro area.

Where will the wedding take place?

Ceremony location/venue to be booked directly with the local council or venue.

How long does the ceremony take?

The Ceremony can be as short or long as you like, but we only allow for 1.5 hours on site for the Ceremony & Photos. You can then party on with your mates.

Your Flowers

Can I choose the colour of my flowers?

Yes you can advise us of preferred colours and style and we will create the perfect bouquet using the seasonal flowers. (Modern or traditional posy style bouquet using locally grown seasonal flowers in your choice of tones *Surcharge applies to alternate styles and imported flowers)

Your Photography

Are you a candid photographer?

Our style is a nice balance between candid and directed. Every couple is unique, some prefer us to be completely candid while others prefer a little direction so they feel comfortable and have an idea of what to except. On your wedding day we are unobtrusive particularly during your ceremony, however are present when you need us. Not only will we ensure your wedding gets captured beautifully, we are also there to support you on the day and make sure everything runs smoothly for you. All you have to do is relax and enjoy yourselves!

Who will be my photographer on the day?

Cassie from Bedford Photography will be your photographer on the day. If she is unavailable for your day one of her Principal Photographer’s will be your photographer. You will be notified of your photographer at the time of booking.

Can we add photography coverage to our package?

Of course you can. You can add on photography coverage up to 4 hours in total. Additional photography coverage costs $220/ hr.

How do I secure my wedding date with you?
